Overview

The Twin Sisters are a rugged subrange of jagged peaks to the west of Mount Baker. The terrain is spectacular and uncharacteristic of the Cascades. Steep couloirs and big alpine faces rise high above beautiful bowls and perfect glades. Fierce Pacific storms roll off of the ocean and immediately slam into the Twin Sisters Range, unleashing their wintry fury. Imagine – The Grand Tetons meet the PNW.
Baker Mountain Guides Twin Sisters Backcountry Basecamp delivers exceptional comfort with a heated and insulated shelter, fully stocked kitchen, power, and sauna. Our exclusive commercial access creates exceptional solitude and plenty of opportunities for first tracks.
ITINERARY
Baker Mountain Guides offers scheduled 3 - 4 day Twin Sisters Backcountry Basecamp Adventures. Custom dates available upon request.
-
Day 1: Access, Skiing & Riding
The approach involves a 5 mile snowmobile ride follow by a 1.5 mile skin. We'll drop our overnight equipment at the basecamp and sneak in some laps in the Backyard Glades or Private Idaho before dinner, sauna, and some camp chill.
-
-
Day 2/3: Full Ski & Riding Days
We'll wake up at the foot of the mountain, eat a hearty breakfast, and step outside into our skis and splitboards. The goal will be to ski and ride the best terrain conditions allow, with legendary lines like the North Face in the back of our mind. We'll wrap up the day(s) with dinner and sauna.

Last Day: Skiing, Riding, and Exit
We'll round out our great days of skiing and riding with another great day of skiing and riding. Couloirs, bowls, trees, and chutes are all on the menu. Once our cup is full, we'll pack up camp, ski out to the snowmobiles, and head down the hill.
